Does Grocey suggest recipes or count calories?
Not today. There is no recipe database and no nutrition data of any kind, and that gap is on the roadmap above rather than hidden. What Grocey does today is turn a list, wherever it came from, into a real basket at a real store.
Will it actually place the order for me?
No. Automated grocery shopping here means the finding, the comparing, the filling, and booking the delivery slot. Paying and confirming stays a human tap, the same one you would make in the store's own app. There is no order-placement tool.
Can it split my list across two stores?
No, by design. Every connected store is scored on price and coverage, and one wins the whole basket. Splitting a list across two stores means two deliveries, two fees, and two windows, so Grocey always picks a single winner instead.
What happens if my store doesn't carry something on the list?
Delio, the one provider with a real connect today, offers a close substitute for an out-of-stock item automatically when one exists and is safe to swap, never across an allergen or alcohol difference, and asks first when it isn't a safe automatic call. An item the catalog doesn't carry at all is reported back rather than silently dropped.
Is this the same as an AI shopping assistant?
